So It's Been A Minute...

So, the last few months have been all about my health. I had a bit of a cancer scare, and it took some time to figure things out. I'm not completely in the clear yet and have more surgery coming up in the new year, so I thought I'd better write a blog while I'm still sharp. A few people have asked what happened after I took off to QLD. Well, we stayed at the marina for a few more years until it was sold. We both sold our units and moved into our own house in 2003. David moved on to manage a ferry service, and I kept going with real estate. In 2004, David surprised me with a wedding! Who does that? Probably someone who knows you well enough to know it would be a welcome surprise. He secretly flew my mother and daughter up for the occasion. It was a small wedding, but truly magical, and I got to see him in the tux again. (I'll post photos someday.) By then, I'd met his lovely daughter. Her relationship with her dad had been strained for a while, so having her at the wedding was perfect. Afterward, we went on a cruise, and it was like a trip down memory lane for us as a couple. We loved every minute of it. I'll have to continue in another post, as this is getting too long.
